Bio

Hello! My name is Carlos Lemus, founder and trainer of COVERAGE VS. ROUTES. I graduated from Bear Creek High School (2013) where I earned San Joaquin Athletic Association, All-League as a defensive back. I also graduated from Illinois College (2017) where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree and All-Midwest Conference as a defensive back. I specialized in receiver and defensive back training. I'm very passionate for the game of football because it taught me discipline, teamwork, perseverance. It builds mental and physical strength, teaches resilience through challenges, and provides a sense of camaraderie and belonging. For me, it's not just a sport but a way to develop leadership skills, create lasting memories, and connect with a community that shares a common love for the game. I aim to provide a comprehensive off-season football training and competitive 7 on 7 football experiences to student-athletes while empowering them to be the best version of themselves. I'm married and have an orange cat. I love spending time with family and friends, traveling, food, music, dancing, hiking, and football. Random fact, my wife created the COVERAGE VS. ROUTES logo!

Our passionate coaches bring years of experience both playing and coaching football at various levels, ensuring that every student-athlete receives individualized and group training tailored to their skill level and position. Our off-season football training program is designed to unlock potential, whether you’re a receiver or a running back perfecting your route running, a defensive back or a linebacker honing your coverage skills, or a quarterback mastering pre and post coverage reads, our coaches are here to coach and educate every step of the way.
